About Hannah
My name is Hannah Bodner, and I am a physical therapist. I have worked at an inpatient rehab hospital, skilled nursing facility, and in home care since becoming a PT in August of 2021. Throughout my time in these different settings, one pattern stood out to me the most; healthspan does not equal lifespan, and we all deserve to live healthier longer. Over the past several years, I have developed a passion for helping people understand the difference between healthspan and lifespan, and how the choices we make now can set us up for a healthier future. My goal is to help people in all stages of life learn about their current fitness levels and how exercise can be used to help you feel better, move better, and age better.
I have experience working with people who have diabetes, heart disease, COPD, arthritis, high blood pressure, and cancer. I also have 3+ years of experience working with people who have neurological conditions such as strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Cerebral Palsy.
I grew up in Connecticut and obtained my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Southern Connecticut State University where I also played soccer. I then graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2021. I enjoy hiking, finding new restaurants, spending time with friends and family, hanging out with my 2 dogs and cat, and training for triathlons. I think that enjoying movement and fitness is key to seeing lasting results, so I will make sure to include your personal interests and hobbies into your program to make sure you have fun while working hard!
What is healthspan?
The part of a person’s life during which they are generally in good health and are free from serious disease.
